6. Smart Match Passport (Optional Data Sharing)
Smart Match Passport lets you save profile details (such as age, gender, and region) so studies you choose to start don't ask you the same questions again. Using Passport is optional — you decide whether to turn it on, and you can turn it off anytime in Settings → Account.
When you turn Passport sharing off:
- We stop sharing your saved details with any new study you start.
- Your Poll Uncle profile stays saved — it is not deleted unless you edit or remove it yourself, or delete your account.
- We ask our matching service to remove the profile details it had stored for pre-filling. If that removal can't be confirmed right away, you can retry from the same screen.
- Studies you have already started are run by independent survey providers; we cannot guarantee instant deletion of information already submitted to them.
For fraud prevention, security, and legal compliance, we may retain limited operational records (such as activity and security logs) even after you turn sharing off.
